We know that the fashion industry is damaging to the world but we want to be on the side that is propelling the industry to be less harmful and have made decisions that we believe make a difference.
1. We are supporting American jobs and businesses by manufacturing our clothes in NYC and sourcing majority of our components in the US.
The elastic in our scrunchies is the only component that is sourced outside of the US. We chose to make this decision as the company we are working with makes the best eco friendly elastics on the market. The elastics are plastic free, use certified organic cotton, and natural rubber and no one could compare to them.
2. We are using recycled polyester fabric made from recycled water bottles
3. Our t-shirts are dyed using natural dyes in Pennsylvania.
4. Our mailers and garments bags are all made of post consumer recycled paper so they can be curbside recycled.
5. Our 'Thank You' cards are made of herb seed paper so they can be planted and used for your culinary needs instead of being extra trash!
6. We make quality clothing that lasts and produce them in small batches to avoid mass waste.
We know that being eco-friendly… or sustainable… or earth conscious is an ever bending and ongoing endeavor. We know that not every one of our decisions will be perfect nor will it save the planet in an instant but we believe that our conscious decisions will make a positive difference over time.
